Chasing the game, passes to nowhere, no coordination or communication on defense, possession that could string together no more than 2-3 passes on almost all occasions, surrendering three goals that could easily have been 4 or 5, sloppy, sloppy, sloppy play, am I missing anything here?
What a butt-whupping that one was. It was Agincourt alright (referring to the previous post) but Dynamo definitely weren't the English. As Mr3D said to me today, this is exactly what we all knew had a 90 percent chance of happening after the scoreless draw in Robertson last week.
It's too bad really, because I would have liked nothing better than to get our third shot at Pachuca after coming oh so close against Los Tuzos on two occasions last year. That became a fun rivalry last year, the kind where even when you get beat, you are left with nothing but a healthy admiration and even a rooting interest in the other team's success after it's all over. So Pachuca, I hope you destroy El Monstruo Morado in the final, and I look forward to seeing you all again in Champions League (and you Pachuca in SuperLiga) later this summer.
Oh, and by the way, the next person who builds a soccer stadium with artificial turf loses his license to live, as far as I'm concerned. Estadio Saprissa may be legendary (and I have to admit, I actually like the large dimensions), but until they replace that turf with real grass (What, you can't grow grass in Costa Rica? Costa Rica, for goodness' sake?!?!?) the place is now and will remain a dump.
